Who We Are

A School Built on Connection

Yes English School was founded on a simple belief: language learning thrives in an environment where students feel seen, heard, and encouraged.

Located on Kalakaua Avenue in the heart of Honolulu, we've been helping students from around the world develop practical, confident English skills for over fifteen years.

Our approach is different. We don't believe in one-size-fits-all curricula or rigid classroom routines. Instead, we tailor every program to the individual — their goals, their schedule, their pace. Whether you're a professional preparing for an international role, a student planning to study abroad, or someone who simply wants to communicate more easily in daily life, we'll design a path that works for you.

Our Approach

Learning That Sticks

We combine proven teaching methods with a warm, supportive atmosphere so students actually enjoy the process of learning.

01

Assessment First

Every student begins with a placement conversation — not a test — so we understand your goals and build from there.

02

Conversation-Centered

Grammar and vocabulary are taught in context. You'll be speaking from day one, building confidence through real use.

03

Progress You Can See

Regular feedback and milestone check-ins keep you motivated and on track throughout your program.

04

Community Beyond Class

Practice English with other students through social events, conversation clubs, and cultural outings across Honolulu.
